About the Nike Slingshot Irons:

Shift your center of gravity with the latest irons from Nike Golf. SlingShot irons feature Air Center of Gravity (CG). Unlike conventional irons, the CG of the SlingShots is suspended in the air beyond the face thickness. As a result, the ball launches higher and it's easier to square the club face -- thanks to 455 stainless steel that's lighter, yet stronger and faster.

But the SlingShot doesn't stop there. The wide constant sole width of the SlingShot irons increases effective bounce to help prevent digging and "fat" shots. Then there's Progressive Offset. Offset promotes solid contact and improved ball trajectory by positioning your hand ahead of the ball. About the Nike Slingshot Tour Iron Set:

Slingshot Tour irons were co-developed with assistance from several Nike Golf sponsored PGA Tour staff members. These irons are perfect for players that prefer a classic profile packed with modern technology. While these clubs still achieve Air CG via the lightweight/milled Carpenter Custom 455 face, the Slingback design is not visible at address. This shallower Slingback design, along with minimal offset, allow fro more shot-shaping creativity.
